I'am afraid I broke two of the grounding screw slots on my pc case, now my motherboard is only fixed to the case with 3 screws where there supposed to be 5. Problem is, everytime there is a powercut, my backup UPS instantly overloads and shuts down. The UPS service men even replaced my UPS unit twice but the same problem still persists. He said one of the parts of my computer may not be properly grounded and I think he means of course my motherboard. Is there any workaround to solve this grounding issue and should i get a new case? As always appreciate your help guys!!

Solution
The motherboard should be grounded through the ground wires in your 24 Pin connector and the standoffs in the case. If you believe that it is still a grounding issue you can put a ground wire under one of the standoffs and run it through to the other side were your power supply is and put it under one of the screws of your power supply. Just make sure the eyelet of the ground wire is not to big that it is larger than the screw of your motherboard and shorts something out.

As for more standoffs you can buy them...

and do what smorizio suggested.

As for your real problem. I don't think it is grounding maybe more likely either your power supply (which is a little on the small side) is failing or your motherboard is shorting against the case where you do not have stand offs.
