Hi, I need help.

I have an Acer XB241H monitor that I have been using for a couple of years. Last few days I noticed there is a white glow on the bottom of my screen near the taskbar icons. The weird thing is, the glow is growing and shrinking depending on which color that part of the screen is displaying.

If I keep showing desktop or bright colors, the white glow grows bigger, PIC. But if I show black screen for a while, the glow shrinks, PIC.

This isn't the first time, a few months ago this happened but it went back to normal when I kept the monitor turned on.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my monitor?

If the panel is brand new, you might want to RMA it as that is tell tale of a faulty/failing screen. Actually it looks like something sharp might've brushed up against the panel to cause that are to bleed white light(which is the backlight).

I don't think RMA is possible, my country doesn't have international warranty for most electronic goods, and I shipped mine from neighboring country.
I have to find alternative solutions.
