What would be better? Price is almost the same. I plan on pairing it with 9700k and Im just wondering if theres any difference or not. Even if the difference is small what gives better performance in games? Especially cpu intensive games. Thanks

Solution

If the price is the same, go for the 3600C16 it's faster than 3200C14. Keep in mind on that Intel platform you won't see any benefit from regular 3200C16/3000C15 vs 3600/C16 or 3200C14 in real world performance. In other words, the FPS boost will only be 3-5 FPS. If you still want to spend a respectable amount of money though, go for 3600C16 but at this price point, maybe you should go for 32GB RAM instead of that. If you were on a Ryzen platform, then that's a whole different story...

Anyway to answer to your question, 3600C16 is faster than 3200C14.

Kind regards

PS. This video should answer your questions and if it's worth paying almost 100$ more for a slight FPS boost.
