Hello I recently upgraded the ram in my PC from
2x 1GB pc6400 GSkill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ
to
2x 2GB pc6400 GSkill F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI

Now for some reason I cannot get this memory to run near as fast as the old memory I had in the system.

The voltages on both are the same range 2-2.1v, on the old ram I would run 2.1v and almost 850mhz.
On the new sticks, even if I crank the voltage up to 2.3v it will not run stable past 790mhz.

Is it stupid of me to ask this much of the ram with that OC? Did I just get lucky last time? Or are these sticks possibly bad????

I would love to know because this is stopping me from clocking my CPU any higher currently.

I have an Asus P5E X38 board, and a qx6850 if that helps at all.

Currently I'm running a 390fsb and the ram is stopping me from going higher; if I put in the old ram I can go over well over 400mhz and stay stable in Orthos and memtest.

Yea timings and everything is exactly the same with the only difference being capacity.
I did manage to get them running @ 1066 with 5-5-5-15timing (531mhz) for some reason I had to manually go in and adjust the timings and cmd rate; the board was not picking them up properly or something???

Well it happened to me alot,i had ASUS P5K-E with 4GB OCZ REAPER 4-4-4-15 RAM and when i entered the BIOS it said my timings are 5-5-5-9 or for example with my current board i have 4GB REAPER 4-4-4-15 RAM with ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA and it said my timings are 4-4-4-10 so i set them manually.

Also there isnt any problems with your RAMs,som may OC higher/lower than the others.
