GSkill & Z97A Mobo

So I have a 1.5 year old build with an i7 4790k an Asus z97-a mobo and five year old sticks of g-skill ripjaw 1600 RAM (16GB 4x4) I haven’t thought about upgrading my RAM at all and I haven’t tweaked anything with it whatsoever since I built the PC, but I was wondering if there’s anything I can do with the sticks I have or if I’d see a significant boost in performance by just upgrading? And if so, what sticks would y’all recommend in the midrange of pricing? I’m pretty tech literate but Memory tuning, overclocking, and timings have just always been way over my head. I see dips in performance where I feel like I shouldn’t considering I game a lot and have really good specs (980ti FTW Edition) but I figured if my build is lacking on any front, it has to be the RAM considering how old it is at this point. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Nope. Maybe a SSD, if not installed.
