Question GSmartControl short self-test sound

Hi! Is that normal? Completed without error. I'm checking my new HDD. Extended self-test is running right now and it makes similar sounds occasionally.

Yes, this well known utility. I don't have another HDD. Just asking is that a normal sound for a short self test?
