Oh sorry I said it wrong, I meant people are saying using gsync past 144hz is a gimmick.240hz isn't a gimmick, but it isn't that practical.
Besides games like CSGO and Overwatch, most FPS shooters have frame rate limiters below 200fps, plus most graphics cards can't push 240fps in nearly all FPS games without going crazy on low graphics.
I agree, I think it would be better to buy a quality 120 to 144hz panel over a 240 one. Spend the money on Free-sync/Gsync, color accuracy, etc
really even above? So really gsync is just to help if your system can’t handle enough frames for your monitor. Ok thanks I will be getting 2080 ti and i9 9900k. I’m pretty sure most titles can go pretty high in frames but some I’d need gsync. Do you know if gsync compatible monitors can use gsync at 240hzOh yeah if you can get your frames above 144 consistantly then it would be worth it. Exactly.
Yes G sync is useless AT or ABOVE a monitors refresh rate.
Ok thanksYeah G-SYNC's and FreeSync's only purpose in life is to make sure your frame rates are aligned with your refresh rate when your frame rate is not above or at the monitor's max refresh rate.
G-Sync will work all the way to 240hz then auto disable itself beyond that.
