If you have an AMD gpu you can only benefit from freesync. G-sync is only for Nvidia gpu's. You can still use any monitor but it will not have variable refresh rate if you don't have a compatible gpu. In terms of monitor I just bough an Asus VG245H 75Hz 24'' FHD Freesync monitor. I suggest getting that if you can afford it as it better and has a versatile adjustable stand.
P.S. The included speakers in any monitor are rubbish (it's even better to use a pair of cheap speakers instead).
G sync is for Nvidia GPU's. FreeSync is for ATI/AMD GPU's. You would benefit from a FreeSync monitor. Your own monitor however, appears to have neither.
