So I got this gsync display that works pretty well with recent titles such as battlefront 2 and bannerlord, but doesn't work very well with arma 3 (a 2013 title) or csgo. In Arma in particular G-SYNC causes a lot of micro stuttering with that game for some reason, and setting it to "Fixed refresh rate" in Nvidia control panel seems to work a lot better. Just wondering if Im using gsync wrong or it just doesn't work well with older titles? thanks.

PS: display is s2417dg (Dell)

Gsync alone doesn't cap fps so need to enable vsync (In game or NvidiaCP) or cap fps yourself if possible to keep your frame rate inside Gsync range which is from around 30Hz to the maximum refresh rate.

You're welcome.

Yeah it can get confusing. Many believe Gsync or Freesync replaces Vsync which isn't the case. Vsync is partially disabled behind the scenes when fps is between min~max refresh rate and kicks in if fps is constantly at maximum. Vsync is used to keep fps there and shouldn't notice (Or very very little) input lag anywhere in Gsync range.
