i have a old pc laying around with lga775 socket so i decided to upgrade it a little and play some
not demanding games mainly internet surfing etc.

I'm not gonna play high end games i'll just play games like CS:GO, LoL how will it handle?

you can suggest another cpu for the same socket but not a gpu, prices are high in my country

Thank you.

The Q6600 should still be sufficient for what you want to do. The 1030 is very much an entry level card. It's a step up from modern onboard graphics, but that's about it. https://technewswith.me/nvidia-geforce-gt-1030

I'd recommend finding a used 750TI before electing for a 1030.

Incidentally, the only real worthwhile upgrade (IMO) on the socket, would be the a Q9650 or Xeon X3380 but, unless you can find them for cheap (like <$50 cheap), the investment probably won't result in gains significant enough to justify the cost.

Honestly, you would get better performance off your PS3 for CS:GO, especially as the cost of a refurbs PS3 is as low as $60 http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/consoles/playstation-3-40gb-system-gamestop-premium-refurbished/68183

Old DDR2 (which 775 supports and some mobos only take) based cheapo systems people are tossing out are for a good reason; just like why you don't use a 'old flip phone' anymore, the technology is way behind the demands expected out of it, and the 'cost' to upgrade doesnt' make much sense. While you can toss a 750 TI in there (totally agree) really your DDR2 based system, probably with a 4800RPM Drive (common back then) all will make it 'painfully slow' and kill any 'gain' the 750TI can give you. Also the cost difference.
