[SOLVED] GT 1030 driver update, express install vs. custom install

Hi, have my GT 1030 GDDR5 for a few months now, holding on with this little guy until gpu prices come down.

also have Geforce Experience installed. So far, it has updated at least twice already.. it would download an update about 700 mb in size, then ask if I like "Express" or "Custom" install of the updates. -- have always chosen Express install, I let it just toss everything in. lol

Is this a good idea? I mean, Geforce Experience is not putting anything that could be bad for my pc, right?

Most of the time GeForce experience IS the bad thing installed.

You are fine mate, as long as everything works, don't worry about it.

I never choose Express installs since I don't install GeForce Experience, only the base drivers for the GPU, regardless of it being a high or low end card. They don't do bad to the platform, I just don't need it an neither do the people who I fix system's for. You're fine either which way.

have Geforce Experience because I play Genshin Impact. It's one of the games supported... so I was thinking Geforce Experience might someday download a driver to further improve gaming with Genshin.

You need to check the notes of each driver if they specifically say that there are improvements for Genshin Impact AND for YOUR GPU. If there are but let's say it's only for RTX 2000 series, there is no need updating.

I've had zero issues with GeForce Experience, Express Install....

For years now...
