GT 1030 on 180W PSU

I have a HP Slimline Desktop - 270-p033in.Can this run Gt 1030 GDDR5?

With a 180 watt psu, I'm surprised the machine runs at all...unfortunately no, that card will not work with a 180w psu. The base recommended power for that card is 300w

Honestly I really can't. I think even most if not all last generation low end cards wouldn't run on 180w...they might run it by themselves but with the rest of the system, there is no way. Sorry, best option is to go with psu upgrade

:An Nvidia GT 1030 is your best bet. It's a low power(30W) card, so if any card will work with your power supply, it's this one. It comes in low profile and even passively cooled models. It's decent at gaming with esports types of games(Overwatch, CSGO, LoL) at 1080p. You could play more demanding games on it, although you'll likely have to turn down settings and maybe play at 720p. It is a large jump in performance over integrated graphics, so it's worth it if you intend to play games.

are u sure GT1030 can run on 180W psu

Assuming you have the i3 7100 in there , the answer is yes a gt1030 will work.

Make sure

1. You pick a low profile model as your case is slimline

2. You get a gddr5 model , there are some ddr3 models knocking about now which are awful
