gt 1030 on PCI Express v1 ???

will the GT 1030 work with PCI Express v1.1 x16 slot?

Nope it won't. The reason being that GTX1000 series cards do no like an incompatible UEFI BIOS environment and will result in a black screen even though your system will boot straight to desktop GUI.

It shouldn't matter the PCIe generation other than the bandwidth through the slot. I used a 10 series card on an Athlon 64 (939) system and it worked fine.
