I’m trying to play GTA V with less lag and probably atleast Witcher 3 with atleast 30fps on low settings...will this work or no? Can’t find any Athlon X4 at the shop anymore cuz it’s a really old processor. My motherboard is Emaxx EMX-MCP61D3-iCafe so only few are compatible.

Minimum requirements for Witcher 3 is X4 940. The X4 910e is even less powerful than that.

The RX480 is waaaay more powerful than the GT 1030. The 1030 is a 2D desktop environment GPU - nothing more.

IMHO, putting money into targeting the absolute minimum for a game is just an exercise in frustration.

I never heard of this manufacturer before.
after some search. it appears that it's using google drive to store it's manual and bios files lol

here is the link of the manual of your motherboard : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0rQog8BHa_ycVFKMmxnUnNlMGc
here is the latest bios 1.2 : https://www.emaxxtech.com/bios/?wpfb_s=MCP61D3

before changing the CPU, update your bios

the manual says that the best CPU supported is the phenom 2 X4
no indication of a specific SKU / stepping though

so i checked on wikipedia : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD_Phenom_II

lots of diferent phenom II X4 exists.
since your motherboard has weak power delivery, i advise you to search for a 65w cpu

that would be the phenom II X4 910e
i checked ebay
the price is around 50USD shipped

I put together a PC from scrap and spare parts for my nephew 2 years ago. a phenom II X4 + RX480 gpu. he was playing games like GTAV, no problem at all.

if my answer was helpfull, don't hesitate to select the "best answer" option :)
