gt 1030 ?

i have seen in some gt 1030's that instead of pcie x16 3.0 they support pcie x4. Is that a slower card ? I am reffering specidlfically to the pallit version of the card (gddr5)

No. The gt 1030 does not need 16 lanes of PCIe 3.0. It just does not use that much bandwidth. Even the highend cards don't use that much bandwidth. 4 lanes will be plenty.

Not really. The card is slow enough that only using 4 pci-e 3.0 lanes doesn't affect it's performance.

so i can plug it into a pcie x16 slot or not and if not the performance will be the same as everyone?

You will need to hook it up to the PCIe x16 slot because it wont fit in a x1 slot. I will work fine in the x16 slot, it will just run at x4.
