A friend of mine has an old gt 430, his default settings were:
Core clock: 729mhz
Memory clock: 900mhz
Shader: 1595

And now he changed them to:
Core clock: 850mhz
Memory clock: 630mhz
Shader: 1700

Is it safe to change memory clock back to 900mhz and would it make much of a difference? Also, are there any better settings?

Solution
He lowered memory clock so he could raise the others right? So now he can raise the memory clock a little at a time until things get too hot or become unstable. The card was already clocked faster than Nvidia specs, so any setting even higher is just icing on the cake. The answer to 'would it make a difference' is more than yes or no. Yes, technically the card would perform better. Does it matter? It depends on what he's using the card for. It's an older, less powerful card, there's only so much he can do with it.
