Hello, I am having trouble deciding if buying a GT630 because my PSU is of 240w

The specs of my pc are:

AMD phenom 8600b X3
No integrated graphics
128gb SATA disk
I dont know what board does it have

thanks for helping.

Solution
Your CPU is 95W and the DDR5 630 is 65W. So you're looking at 160W load on the 12V output of that 240W power supply. I'd say as long as the 12V output is something like "18A" it should work. If it's "14A" then no.

The two other models of 630 use less power.
What is your goal with buying a GT630?

I can't imagine it playing any game from the last 10 years remotely well besides maybe a gameboy emulator.

You would be much better off with any $300 desktop from Bestbuy.

This would be much faster/modern than your current system.

The integrated graphics on the i3-7100 from the above link is about 69-90% better than the Gt630 you wish to purchase.
