actually gt 1030 is costing around $us 100-110 in my country! i just want to know will the performance gap will be abouve 20-30% or it will be below that! and i will not be using it for gaming! i want it as a display adapter and will play some older titles!
The 710 is not a gaming GPU. The GT range are designed for pc's that don't have integrated graphics and require basic display functions. If your looking for gaming you want to look at the gtx ranges.
so just getting the ddr5 version of the gt 710 is be atleast worth something?
If gaming is NOT your main concern, then go with the least expensive one. Either one will give you a usable display. What is the rest of your system? You may be just as well off using the integrated graphics( assuming your system has that capability).
GT 730 GDDR5 is a lot faster, see how much those are in your area. Should not be more than $50 if a 1030 is 100+ and I would guess a new 710 is not far behind the 730 in price.
Are there other options in the same price range you have not listed?
at the same price range we have gt 710 ddr3 versions and ddr5 version, from amd sive we have r5-230(which is even more terrible), for near about 20-30 bucks more we have r7-240!
