While idle the gpu which is passively cooled reaches 85c???!!! and while gaming it reaches 95c and starts throttling to reduce temp then. I do not know what to do? Also my i5 non OC was going all the way to 80c and system shutdown took place also. i applied colgate toothpaste on it and wow! max temps never go above 50c. i did same with gpu but no change. infact i think it kinda worsened. i remember earlier once i had done some benchmark on gpu it showed max ~65c. plz help

The GT710 isn't really a gaming card, but rather an HTPC GPU or a GPU you'd drop into a system that lacked GPU power for multiple monitor data crunching desktops. Aim a fan at the card and see if the temps drop.

If you're trolling us with the use of toothpaste for your GPU in place of actual thermal paste, then you're wasting your time and damaging your hardware.
