I have Quadro FX running on XW4600 and I want to run better graphic card and play some more nice games on it. I won't be playing resource demanding games though. I want to know if it can run this GPU. My PSU is 475MW. Will this GPU work with this PSU?

I once thought of upgraing it. I had planned of purchasing Dell optiplex 755 or 760 tower with its motherboard and power supply. I was getting it in nice second hand price. I'll put all my rams, hard disks, dvd and processor in that dell computer. I will also be putting GT 730 in dell if I do that or purchase GT 730 for it later if it gets out of budget. Problem is that I don't know if my QX6700 processor will work with it. My specs are:

Procesor: QX6700 2.67 Ghz 8 MB Cache
Ram: 2 + 2 GB 80 mhz
GPU: Quadro FX 3500

I think I miss understand part of your question.
You are asking to replace professional FX card with GT 730, so GT 730 is just a bit above crappy cards, it will definitely work with you PSU, but it is too weak for some demanding video games.
I would recommend to save on changing PCs and consider better video card, at least 750TI, then you can play games on it.
check this tier of video cards first.
What is the problem with XW4600, Optiplex 755 is much worse in specs than your HP, FX requires minimum 350 watt PSU and actually uses 85 watt TDP. XW4600 is ATX compatible, and Optiplex 755 is BTX, an awkward Dell format with less space inside and proprietary components.
So why change?

XW4600 is older than optiplex 755. So I thought I should change it to latest hardware. Another reason was to use GT 730. My SPU is 475 watt. The only thing I had in my mind was that new GT 730 may not work properly with it. Now I guess I should install GT 730 in it. Can you please tell me if GT 740 is compatible with XW4600 and will work nicely?

Are you planning to buy a PC with GPU, correct? So right now you just need something to feel the gap? If this this right, then see how much money you can waste, GT 740 is definitely better than GT 730, all of them, including GT750TI will easy work on your PC with 475 watt power supply.
