Hi as in the title this computer booted fine with both a nvidia gt 430 and a gt 1030. Then I tried replacing the gpu with an amd r7 240. the computer had no display and I dont believe it posted. next i threw in a gt 730 and the computer showed the gpu bios boot screen and then black screened.
specs:
Dell Vostro 460
i7-2600
16gb ddr3
256 gb ssd
350W psu

I tried:
DDU
safe mode

Thank you in advance.

Edit: I want the cards to work seperately sorry for the confusion. I want either the r7 240 to work in the system or the gt 730.

Well, that's something I never tried. First off your system is a bit old but that shouldn't be an issue. There has been talk about PhysX by nVidia that can cause corruption HERE Nowthen... As for them working together on a system 3 generations prior to that talk... I would doubt it but again I'm not sure. If I needed them all in, I would try them separately at this point to make sure they're all working. I would then add the 1030 and the R7 240 to see if they're okay with each other... Then go on down the line. WAIT!!!
GeForce GT 430 Eats 50Watts
GeForce GT 1030 Eats 30 Watts
Radeon R7 240 Eats 30 Watts
That's a total of 110 Watts added to what is usually a power supply that is barely able to handle the system... I found talk of someone trying to add a GTX 960 which eats 120 Watts... Its the 4th post HERE That definitely could be why you see the black screen after the GPU BIOS screen...
