[SOLVED] GT 740 help?

Ok so I do not know if I am dumb or what but I have a GT 740 4gb and it only seems to be using 1gb on any game I play. It will never go above 1gb and I do not know if it supposed to do that or not. If you could explain it to me that would be very much appreciated.

Ryzen 7 1700
GT 740 4gb
16gb ddr4 3000mhz
ASRock Fatal1ty B450 GAMING K4
Evga 450 W3

Games will only use as much VRAM as they need. As the 740 is not very powerful it’s not surprising that many games when running playable settings only use 1GB or less.
