gt1030 or gtx745

Hi, i currently have a gtx 745 in my prebuilt HP desktop and I'm wondering if an upgrade to a gt1030 is worth it? I can't find any cards that have about 60w tdp and perform about the same as a gtx 745. I will be overclocking the gt1030 but only a little, so my question is: is gt 1030 better than gtx 745?

Yes it is. But be aware the 1030 can peak at almost 50w power draw.

Yep same shader count, but two generations newer, and Pascal nearly doubled what Maxwell could do, so it is more than twice as fast as a GTX745.

I would not be concerned about power with a GT1030, it is doubtful it could be overclocked enough to exceed the specifications of the slot. And the 745 is specced at 55W.
