GT210 as PhysX card for R9 270x?

Hey guys, I have a Zotac GT210 in my present rig, I'll be getting a new rig with MSI R9 270x, so I was wondering if I can use my old GT210 as a PhysX card with the R9 270x.

Specs:
AMS FX8320
2x4GB RAM
R9 270x
ASUS M5A78L/USB3 or ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 (I'll focus on the MoBo later)
Seasonic Eco 600w PSU

I'll be playing some Ubisoft games like Assassins Creed IV, Watch Dogs, then a few games in Batman Arkham series... so do you think this will work?

No it won't work. By the way, you can use PhysX with AMD cards but the catch is that PhysX will be processed on the CPU instead of the graphics card. Nvidia's cards have support for advanced PhysX which doesn't require CPU load and thus better than equivalent AMD cards. The R9 270x will destroy your GT 210 in terms of performance so you wouldn't need that PhysX anyways.

Hello... my understanding is you must use Two nvidia cards and drivers to use PhysX.

1st - the GT 210 is not a good PhysX card

2nd - The R9 270X is capable enough on it's own.

3rd - PhysX cards work with AMD GPU's, done before.

No use for it, I wouldn't use it with a R9 270X either. It will make little difference.

I don't have any other desktop in my house, rest of the 3 computers are laptops, so no use of my GPU there.
Why would I spend money on compressed air on a GPU which I won't use? I'll just try to sell it. Hope I get about $10.
Ah well, guess my question got solved in less than 10 minutes. Ha! I love you guys.
Don't know whose answer I should choose as best now.

Is there enough of your old rig to make a working PC? I usually just give mine to a less fortunate friend. Also if you don't have a file server at home I would repurpose it for that.

I couldn't find the GT 210 on the list of Nvidia cards that support PhysX. With only 16 CUDA cores, it likely wouldn't be very good anyway. That would be assuming you find some way to hack your drivers to get Hybrid PhysX to work in the first place.

Or you could keep it in case your R9 270x faults and you need to replace it. Being stuck with no GPU ain't fun since your 8320 isn't an APU (integrated graphics)

There is a minimum number of cuda cores required, I think it starts at the 220. I'd still keep it for trouble shooting, put it in a bag, in drawer for when you need it.
