Hey guys I'm not very knowledgeable about Overclocking, but I thought I would find out a little more about it here

I have a GT 680 OC edition and was going to use EasyTune6 to over clock it a little for BF4

Under the "Graphics Tab" it has two options in the form of slider bars
Core
Memory

I have moved the slider on the core up from 750Mhz to 1003Mhz and was wondering if this is the right way to give my card a little boost? is it too much or not enough?

Should I also increase the memory as well? (it's sitting on 3004Mhz)

Any info you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated :)

(I have a corsair H60 water cooler so I don't think overheating is going to get too crazy)

Solution
Download MSI afterburner and run that and do some stress tests, if you start to get weird lines and whatnot then its not stable. Its impossible to tell as every card changes. As for memory, you can leave it, it wont hurt anything, but increasing it will increase performance as well.
Well unless your H60 is somehow hooked up to the graphics card, it isnt going to do anything for you, that CPU. As for the OC, the best way to do it is increase the core clock by 10MHz until it becomes unstable then bring it back down by 10, or increase voltage slightly and keep going until it gets too hot. Then do the same for the memory.

Ok, seems stable at 1003 (nothing seems to have changed at the desktop at least) that seems to put the slide bar at a bit over half way

Do I need to change the memory option at all? I'm pretty newb at this, I'm pretty cautious I guess

Ok thanks for the, anyone else had experience OC'ing their 680?

Interested to hear others opinions, specifically using ET6.

How drastically does OC'ing improve capabilities?

Cheers again <3
