Hello, msi geforce gt 730 4GB can work on this motherboard? asus z97 pro gamer? is it can run DX12 games? my local seller shows as DX11 only card but geforce website says Microsoft DirectX 12 is a feature on this card. I also like to know if this GPU can run modern games in low-mid settings? I will be limiting my frame rate to 30 to reduce the heat

i7 processor, 16GB ram, 700w psu

what specific proccesor do you have?
and no it can not a gt 1030 can run ark on low settings when overclocked so a 730 has no hope. the only things you can run are league of legends, csgo, rocket league. it will get your foot in the door. but barely... just save up a little more and get a gtx 1050 or an rx 560($130) and if you really cant afford that get a gt 1030($80)

There's a lot you should know. One, the 730 is not fast enough to make use of 4gb vram. Get a DDR5 version even if it has 1gb since that's all it can really use anyways. Second, don't worry about the DX12 stuff. The 730 can run the games, that's all you need to know.

MOST important, the 730 is very, very low end. I can't recommend anyone buy one for gaming in 2018. Modern games, even in low settings, even at 720p. need more videocard performance. Of the Nvidia 7xx generation, the least you should consider is the 750 Ti.

then you should have no problem with any modern GPU

also watch out for used gpus namely any 7xx GPU they COULD have been used for Crypto currency mining which means they were run at max usage for weeks. 750 ti should be fine anything above that is risky

My phone probably runs hotter then that GPU would ever, don't worry about the heat and try to get as many FPS as you can but like others have stated you'll want something better even if your gaming under 1080P.

Thank you both for fast answers, I will be buying this card for testing purposes, to understand if there is any problem with my rest of the system, I have a amd r7 370 right now, and somehow it got messed up, whenever I install the drivers from amd site I keep getting a full black screen on different drivers, both on DVI and displayport. so I really don't know the source of this weird issue. GT 730 is also fairly cheap on my location thats also why

if this card works without problems, then I will be buying a better GPU meaning and assuming and hopefully there are no problems on my machine

I have a 4600 HD Intel integrated on my CPU and this can run Rainbow Six Siege on 720p with lowest settings (30fps nearly stable) so I take it even Intel graphics are better than gt 730? Honestly I do not understand at all

Yes it is cheap, there is even cheaper ones on my store, I maybe purchase a GT710 too instead of 730 because 710 lots of cheaper than 730, since they are old and low entry graphics cards- can work on my motherboard? the other person said it is ok but I'm a paranoid so I like to get double confirmation if you dont mind, thanks in advance
