GTA 4 can't RECOGNIZE MY GPU

I have a HP AU624TX
It have Intel HD 620 and geforce 940mx with 4096 MB dedicated memory

I INSTALLED GTA 4 but it's showing only 120 MB graphic memory.

Please help me

go to your gta iv install folder
make a text file called commandline
copy this into it:

-norestriction
-nomemrestrict
-availablevidmem "100"
-percentvidmem "1.1"

save as a .txt file

OK try only the first 2 commands and launch the game from launchgtaiv.exe (located in the install directory) not the shortcut it creates in your desktop

Note: it will take a bit longer to load this way

strange.... this worked for me and has seemed to work for most people, sorry for the inconvenience, just delete the commandline.txt file and it should be back to normal

if you are getting a laptop, then yes

Yes i got a 940mx and its a laptop

make sure the laptop has newest bios file...with some laptop you have to change the power settings in the bios to use one or the other video card. right now it using the intel one only. see if there a setting to turn off the ipgpu and turn on the other one.

also make sure your laptop has 8g of ram or more. some laptop with two chipset use the system ram for video ram.
