GTA 4 freeze-ups

Hello,

I finally found out how to run GTA 4 on my system and it ran great for about 3-4 days. Then (yesterday) it started freezing up for about a second every time I give Niko a command like jump, sprint, turn around fast. The frames are stable at ~30, the only problem is this bug. I tried re-installing, game booster, adding "commandline.txt" but nothing seemed to work. They all improved my frames but the freezes keep on happening. Any ideas?

Update: I tried playing with an Xbox controller and that fixed it. How it actually helped is beyond me. I guess I don't need help anymore 😀
