Hello,

I'm having a problem involving dotted/pixelated textures from a distance, and i believe it has something to do with msaa/fxaa.

When I have fxaa on/msaa off, this is what my textures look like at a distance:

(notice the road and pay close attention to the traffic lights)

(look at the pole straight ahead, the real annoying thing is it's not even that far away and its still doing it)

In an attempt to fix this, i tried putting msaa to 2x, but when i do that, my grass looks like this(which doesnt happen with fxaa):

Not to mention the frame loss that comes with msaa.

if it helps at all my specs are
16gb DDR3
amd fx 8320
gigabyte radeon hd 7870 2gb

Also, playing around with distance scaling and extended distance scaling does nothing. It seems like the only thing that can change it is turning msaa up or down but it just takes away too many frames. There has to be SOMETHING i'm missing

Please help me find a fix to this, it gets very annoying often

What resolution are you playing on? I think low resolution tends to make it harder for AA to do it's job properly. Less pixels to show straight lines.

Also

I never used FX AA as it looks horribly ugly and unrealistic imo. I only play around with the rest.

I'm currently playing on 1920x1080, not windowed

basically there's not much i can do in terms of playing with the settings, as it wont do anything to fix the problem (aside from switching to msaa)
