Hello, i am having "issues" when playing GTA V on my pc, i dont really know if this can be considered an issue or just my pc isn't good enogh that's why i am opening this thread.

well first my pc has the following components;

Processor: i5 6600
MoBo: Asus maximus viii Ranger
GPU: MSI GTX 970 g4 gaming edition
RAM: 16Gbs DDR4 @ 2600
PSU: Corsair RM 850
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GT
OS: windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit

The "issue" occurs when driving moslty on the city, FPS drops from 60 to between 48-60, this happens not mather which graphics I have, i am not running the game on ultra just have a few options on very high, FXAA on MSXAA x2 TSXAA off also tried to set the game on the lower settings but the issue persist whenever I start to go fast on a car..

I tried to OC the GPU but the issue persist, temps on CPU doesnt go over 50 grades celsius and GPU doesnt go over 70 grade celsius.

Basically i would like to know which might be the issue, is the game itself any of my components are bottlenecking the game when going fast? is there any workaround?

I know that i dont have the best set up, but i would like to know if this is more a software issue than a hardware one.

Best regards.

It's definitely not your system. It can run that game quite well. Keep FXAA on but turn MSAA completely off. The Multi-sampling is a crazy FPS killer. Anything such as Shadow Quality, Water Quality, etc can be turned down. Try that and if that doesn't work, try overclocking your CPU and turning off the overclock on your GPU. There's a chance your CPU is being bottlenecked in the game.
