GTA 5 is showing less memory I have a 2GB graphics card but it shows 512MB

I have the latest driver installed the specs are AMD A8 with R5 graphics 2 GB 4 GB RAM. However GTA V shows 512 mb.

Technically you have no dedicated vram since you are using an igpu. The gpu uses ram it steals from the system and can go upto 2Gb. How much is assigned is dynamic and software controlled. With a paltry 4Gb of system ram you are going to need to upgrade if you want run gta v without major stuttering issues. It will stutter with 4Gb of system ram a gpu with its own dedicated vram and you have an igpu stealing from the system ram.

If you are using the gpu built into the apu(which is what your description suggests) then it has no dedicated vram. Im guessing this is a laptop or a prebuilt if so post the make and model so we can look up the full system specs.

It's Acer aspire E5 522g with AMD A8 7410 radeon R5 graphics.

Yep that system has no dedicated vram. It just allows the igpu to use upto 2gb of system ram as video ram. Even if you were to increase system ram GTA V still would not run well.

Wouldn't it get more space if I get 8gb ram because gta 5 itself needs so much ram and even the graphics are driven from the ram!

And this feels a little different because mine has a clock speed of 1100Mhz. Moreover the sticker on the laptop shows 2gb dedicated VRAM. I can send you a pic if you want.

Ok, this is why full specs are helpful. That APU uses an R5 integrated gpu, but you laptop also has an R5 M355. That GPU does have dedicated vram and is capable of running GTA V(low settings).
What does GPUZ report for dedicated vram? It will be more accurate.

Gpu z shows 2 GPUs and R5 and and R5 M335. R5 has 512 mb VRAM while M335 has 2gb.
