GTA 5 Lagging and stuttering

I've been having trouble with my GTA 5 game. It just lags and stutters all the time, almost to the point of being unplayable. And when it is playable it takes it a bit for the world to even render sometimes. Even after putting the setting to low and turning things off.

My build is:
CPU- Pentium G3258 overclocked to 4.4ghz
GPU-Gigabyte 970
RAM-12gigs
motherboard- Asrock anniversary edition
PSU-EVGA 600w 80+

Im surprised im having trouble with gta while using a 970.
All recent drivers and updates have been installed and nothings changed

The Pentium isn't helping.

Get an i5.

Oh - and you should only have 8gb (2 x 4gb) ram on a dual channel ram mobo.

Problem found. You only have 2 cores and no hyperthreading. This is not going to cut it on the most current AAA games.

You need a new processor.
Its a very very basic entry level dual core processor.

No matter how much you OC its not going to fully support a 970, let alone run GTA.
12GB of ram can be better (2x4)

You will definitely need to upgrade to an i7-4790k for that game!
