Question GTA 5 low FPS problem

Hello!

I got my pc probably a year ago. All games work fine. But I mostly play games like League, CSGO and RL. I recently bought GTA V and I was really excited to play it again. I play on very high 1080 but not maxed settings with VSync off. It says ingame that it's using 2.5GB of VRAM so I guess it should not be a problem. I have a GTX 970 4GB (3.5 + 0.5) and an I7-7700 with 16GB DDR4-2400 RAM. My frames are really low for some reason (it's like 20-30 FPS sometimes) even though I think my Hardware shouldn't struggle with GTA V. I've checked the temps and they never go above 75c on cpu and 70 on gpu. I don't know what causes the problem. 🙁

CPU: I7-7700
RAM: 16GB DDR4-2400
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 4GB
PSU: be quiet! System power 8 (400W)
Mainboard: B250m pro-vd
FANS: Front panel x1, Back panel x1
SSD 128gb, hdd 2tb

and what the cpu/gpu usage during the game? ram usage?

if your CPU/GPU is maxing out while playing, its probably because your hardware cant handle it :/

Hey! CPU is on 80% probably not more and GPU is at full load which is good I guess. Game is on HDD and SSD has 30GB free space out of 128. Ram usage is like 12gb out of 16? Probably something like that. I will try measuring again and will let you know!

Ofc, I will try that in just a moment! Btw. I was talking about FiveM and Rage MP, in normal GTA I experience okay performances, but FiveM isn't any different is it?

CPU - 70% 65C
GPU - 99% 62C
RAM Usage is 11GB out of 16.

your cpu can handle single player mode because not so much work to done in single player. but in online mode, its a different story. i think your cpu is outdated for online mode.
