[SOLVED] GTA 5 Not Launching

I have had gta 5 on my pc for over a year now and it just stopped working. IDK why. After I click the game, it loads and it comes to a block and says, "unable to launch Gta 5, verify game files and data." I did, and steam said they were all valid, but I kept getting the same message. Does anyone know how to fix this? Plz.

If I delete the game from Steam, would I have to buy it again, after erasing all my gta files?

No, you wouldn't have to buy it again. All of your progress is saved to rockstars servers.
Go to your games list, right click on gta, click uninstall. Then click install again from the greyed out name in the list.
