GTA 5 performance in laptops

Due to the release of GTA 5 for the PC and the many question regarding "Will GTA 5 run on my laptop?" I have created this thread to provide links to Youtube videos that shows some GTA 5 gameplay on various graphic chips as I come across them. As a disclaimer, these are not my videos. Additionally, I am assuming the Youtubers are not lying about the specs of their laptops. If I find out they are fakes, then I will simply remove them.

This will primarily focus on integrated graphics and what I would consider to be "mainstream" graphic chips. This will be a temporary sticky; I will "un-sticky" this topic after a few months.

Surface Pro 2 - Intel Core i5-4200u & Intel HD 4400

SurfaceProGamer is using a Hauppauge HD PVR Rocket to record gameplay. That is an external video capturing device which means you are seeing the actual frame rates. Using software to record gameplay (like FRAPS) will lower frame rates.

The graphic settings are displayed 0:22 into the video which shows it is being played at 800 x 600 resolution.

nVidia GT 650m & Core i5-3230m

Played at 1080p resolution. A video camera is used to record gameplay. There is no FPS counter, but the Youtuber states 35 FPS average, 25 FPS min, 42 FPS max.

Asus K95V - nVidia GT 740m & Core i7-3630QM

Played at 1080p resolution. No FPS counter, but the Youtuber states 25 FPS - 30 FPS.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nvidia GT 630m & Pentium B970

Played at 1280x720 resolution. According to the Youtuber the FPS while recording is 15 FPS - 30 FPS. Without recording performance is 20 FPS - 30 FPS.

GT 840m & i5-4210u

1280 x 768 (somewhat odd resolution) with a mix of Normal and Very High settings. Performance is 30 FPS - 40 FPS when recording and 40+ FPS when not recording.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GT 710m + Core i5-3230m

35 FPS - 40 FPS according to the poster. No shot showing the game settings; I assume 720p and maybe Low and Normal settings.

A10-5750M & Radeon HD 8650g Integrated Graphics

Graphic settings are show at 0:29 into the video which is basically 1280x768 resolution and all other settings are on "Normal" with all Advanced Graphics set to "Off". The FPS counter is in the upper left corner.

When simply driving performance seems to range from 20 FPS - 29 FPS. Walking around is about 30 FPS - 45 FPS. Gun shootout performance is again 20 FPS - 29 FPS, however, one grenade explosion causes the FPS to drop down to 16. I am not sure if there is a "Low" setting below "Normal", but if there is then overall performance should be better.

I am assuming the Youtube poster used software to record the video so actual performance could be 10% - 20% better depending on whatever software has been used.
