GTA 5 transferring game to new SSD drive

Hi,

I've been playing GTA 5 from my HDD drive on laptop and now having an SSD in place (which will replace the HDD completely), what is the best way to transfer the game data so I don't lose my progress in Story Mode?

I don't mind downloading STEAM and the game again but will that include my game progress/data?

Also the SSD is running a fresh install of Win 7 hence system image is not desired as I've overly exhausted the previous win 7 OS with junk.

I also wanted to mention, when logging into Steam, there is an option to back up the game. If this is the solution, does the back up include game saved progress?
