GTA 5 very unstable FPS on a good PC. Any help?

Thanks for any help I get.

So I've researched a lot on why this happens, but no thread has the same issue as me. The FPS is VERY unstable in some situations. When I drive a car and at night there are massive FPS drops . I can run at 60 FPS then go to 45, then right down to 5, 20, then 60 repeat. I've tried many different graphics settings. I'm currently using high settings at 1080.

My PC specs:

ASUS geforce GTX 1060 6gb
8gb RAM
CPU Intel Core i5 7600K
Intel stock CPU cooler
ASUS Prime B250-Plus motherboard
HDD and SSD
(with windows installed on HDD)

Your CPU might be the problem here, because your CPU isn't very good to run GTA5 and might be bottle necking your GPU.

Thanks. I can see why that is. I'm changing CPU soon, so I hope it helps.
