So Rockstar released a trailer on November 2 last year and 2 screenshots about a month back.

This week we got 6 new screenshots are are probably on the verge of getting 3 more screenshots (and a trailer if we are lucky).

What are your thoughts on this? I am very much excited!
 
I'm kinda 'meh' about it..I just think the genre has been done to death and it'll need something special about it to entice me to play it. We'll see. I'll definitely keep my eye on it.

The screenshot where tennis is shown...from very far...the SHADOWS of the chairs are visible.
 


I'm not doubting it'll look very pretty I'm just wondering how fresh and new the gameplay/story will be compared to previous GTA games.
 


That's not really amazing, but the standard 😉. Seems like graphically it will be just another console port..
 


The genre is done to death he meant. Which it is. The gameplay was never that exciting to a lot of people to begin with, and if someone wants to enjoy a good anti-hero story the movie Drive is better than all of the GTA games rolled into one :/ .
 


Personally i think that for me Vice City and San Andreas were awesome for the time, even now i can still enjoy them. Thing is for me anyway GTA 4 was a massive let down compared to what i had experienced from VC and SA.
As much as I don't want to say this I think the series might be getting like COD.
 
Honestly as long as we get the things we had in SA back I will continue to play gta games. GTA games are more story driven for me atleast I like the story of them compared to say saints row the 3rd.
 


Call Of Duty Series from Modern Warfare I are all the same games with different gun skins. They don't even change the graphics.

However Grand Theft Auto has a entirely new story everytime with many twists and graphics are different for each game.

Grand Theft Auto 5 graphics looks drastically different than that of Grand Theft Auto 4.
 
Lets pray to all the all mighty game lord that we don't get water that looks like oil. I can't be the only one that hated water in GTA 4, right? Oh and not to mention the colors, so washed out looking...
 
Yeah I hated water too 😀 It was impossible to tell how high were you in a helicopter according to water on that game.

I've played the original GTA 4 with mods: Icenhancer, RealismIV, etc. When I got EFLC (those mods don't work there), boy I was surprised: I thought I played non colored game!
 


Have you played 'Sleeping Dogs'? I heard that's got a decent story. I might check out the demo.
 
I just finished Sleeping Dogs. The story is indeed very nice, feels like you're inside the life of the triads indeed. However, it stinks consoles. The physics are almost non existent (going high speed on bike and ramming into a bus will make the bus fly away), mouse controls are messed up, almost feels like it was designed for analog.
 


I just finished playing the demo on the pc....Really liked it. It's looks great and I enjoyed the hand to hand style combat. I used a game controller and found that fine. Might buy it when it drops in price in a few months and I've finished the others games I'm playing.
 


Oh wow that does look amazing. kinda reminds me of Just Cause 2, Saints row, Max Payne and GTA all rolled into one 😀

Definitely giving the demo a try.

GTA IV = Crysis 1/Warhead Not well optimized, bad draw distance, lags even on high end systems (Warhead)

GTA V = Crysis 2, from what I have see, it looks like it would run better than GTA IV and it will have better colors.

That's just my opinion. Maybe they'll tweak the RAGE engine to make it more playable on slower systems.

But GTA 5 is huge. Rockstar doesn't want to lose the PC sales for GTA 5.

Max Payne 3 sales didn't go that well. Only 4.4 million compared to L.A Noire's 9 million.

Rockstar will want to get as much out of GTA 5 as they can.
 


We don't know whether GTA 5 is going to be a horrible console port like GTA 4.

Can't say for sure.
