Is there a way to map esc key to a gamepad?
Better yet, how can I map a key to display the map for the gamepad? Why
would they implement controlling the map like zooming, moving, placing
the target with a gamepad if you cannot enable the map from the gamepad?
Therefore there must be a way.

"C.J." <c.j.@thehood.com> thought that a good way to threaten
somebody was to light a stick of dynamite, then call the guy and
hold the burning fuse up to the phone and say:

I resorted to using JoyToKey to map Esc to one of the buttons. Google
"JoyToKey" to find the download location.

I know I'm in the minority on this, but I actually like playing with
the gamepad only controls. It feels kinda RPGish with the autoaim,
especially with the weapon skill stat. Oddly, my weapon stat goes up
far slower when I use the mouse because I get too many headshots,
decreasing my hit stats.

The only time I use the mouse is when I have the sniper rifle or the
rocket launcher. It's very easy to reach for the mouse, hold down the
RMB, aim, and fire.
