Question Gta San Andreas random freezes

Hello,I need help.My Gta San Andreas(SAMP too) freezes randomly for a few seconds(sometimes freezes that I can't even do anything than restart the PC)
My pc specs are:
1GB Ram ddr2 533mhz
Athlon 64 x2 5000+
Nvidia nforce 430 6150se 256mb (I have full 600mb GPU memory but other is shared).Is there any fix?(My mobo is Msi ms 7309 v1 to be filled by OEM)If is there not any fix then I need to upgrade the PC.
PS:I need some compatibile gpus that I can upgrade(for ram I know ddr2 max 1000mhz 4gb) Settings of the game are:1280x768 resolution,everything on lowest view distance on minimum.

Sounds like a GPU thing. Might also be the ram. Does this happen on other games?

I think it's either the GPU, RAM, or the game itself. Most likely the RAM though.

Would there be any other way to test it first before buying new parts? Do a trial and error first before concluding that it's the ram. Might be some other component it maybe even a conflicting software running in the background. But yea, your 1gb ram right now seems to not be enough.

Loading the map? Seems to be a GPU or RAM problem, really.

Thanks!I will upgrade my PC.Will 8300gs and 2gb of ram be enough to play these games without lags or freezing?These parts are cheapest that I can found.
P.S:Can my mobo(Msi ms 7309 v1 to be filled by oem) support gpu(for ram I know).Thanks again
