Ok guys, so...

I have 2x7870 in Crossfire and I'm trying to play GTA V. I get some stuttering and textures aren't loading properly.

If I disable crossfire, I get around 40+ fps and fairly smooth gameplay with the same in-game video settings.

I have tried the latest 15.4 beta driver and the only thing that has improved is I get a bit more fps when I run on single a GPU.

So, where's the problem? Should I just wait for another driver for AMD or a patch for GTA V?

I think this is more of a driver / configuration issue.

First try to go back to crossfire, you want to be able to get both of these puppies running.

1) Open GTA V
2) put EVERYTHING to lowest graphics settings. Except your resolution, use your monitors.
3) What we are looking for is if you're having sync / tearing issues. So your GPUs should EASILY be able to handle the game at this point, have fraps going the whole time to monitor your FPS.
4) assuming you have really high FPS (100+) you might get screen tearing / stuttering,
5) at this point, only enable VSync.
6) monitor the game a bit more, your FPS should be locked around your monitor Refresh Rate (60)???
7) if you are stable at this point, proceed upping a little at a time your graphics settings.

IF you are still having issues and none of these resolved, look into it as a driver issue.

Make sure you remove ALL traces of your driver, and then try oing back to a stable driver and not a Beta. Then start back at #1.

Ok, so... first, I want to thank you for the reply.

I enabled crossfire, tweaked around with the in-game video settings... and things are a little bit weird.

I've set everything on low (including display resolution), turn some settings on and off, like vertical syncronization, and I still get the same texture pop-in's plus the some micro stuttering here and there, things that I am not getting using any of the single cards on very high settings, even when I exceed the video memory by more than 1000MB. So, I presume it's not related to the in-game settings.

I tried a clean install of the previous driver and the recent beta driver 15.4 (with which I get more fps while playing with a snigle card). I tried the GTA V crossfire profile from the AMD control panel, optimized 1.1, default, all of them, same problem.

I've set all settings on ultra/very high, including MSAAx8 and the funny thing is, while I get massive frame drop, the texture pop-in's are not so aggresive.

Is there anyone else playing GTA V with 7870 crossfire?

I'm playing with 2 7950s and getting a similar issue with the frame stuttering, i can run the game with 1 card perfectly fine, and i just had one of my cards RMAed thinking it may have been going out due to other issues. but the same issue returns and i have more than enough power coming from my PSU, so it seems like its a driver issue, too bad the older drivers suck even worse with GTAV, granted with only 1 GPU im getting 60fps with most settings at max so im ok waiting for the next driver update

Yes it IS a driver/in-game engine issue. I confirmed this with 2 systems of mine which contain dual 290Xs and dual 290s. On each system when I try to run the game (GTA 5) with single card the game is perfectly smooth, with CF turned on the game just stutters every now and then despite the nearly doubled frame rate at every setting, no matter high or low... There are also chances of MASSIVE frame rate drops which affect gaming experience badly.

GTA 4 and some other games do not suffer the same effect, but most do, so yeah, AMD really need to crank up their driver team... :/
