Hello,so my frnd bought me GTA V for PC and when i ran it i was quite disappointed. It was no where close to the current gen consoles let alone the PC screenshots rockstar released. I saw many youtube videos, they have way superior graphics and hardly any jaggies. I have jaggies everywhere, from the hair of my character to cars and buildings. It just takes away the immersion 🙁. Its not very clear in the screenshots but its very annoying in-game when the buildings colours tend to flicker a little at a distance and the lines of lamp posts and oher things gets jaggy. MSAA 8x improves it but i cant play with 25 FPS.MSAA 2x isa good balance but the jagged edges areterrible. Everything is on high and FXAA is on along with MSAA 2x.NFS rivals and AC Unity has so much better graphics 🙁((
r9 270X

latest version of GTA 5 updated with the new patch.

If you want a significant improvement, I suggest you upgrade your card to a gtx 970 or better...

FXAA blurs the image like crazy, Not always the best idea using multiple AA settings in conjunction with each other.

The only thing you can really do is try different combos of Anti-Aliasing in conjunction with each other (or find a single one on it's own) that give the best image possible without a significant frame-rate drop. Keep in mind there will probably be more optimization patches or fixes coming up that might improve the game's performance.

Although, the r9 270x is not a terrible card.. It may not be an ideal one for high settings in conjunction with AA to maintain a high frame-rate. Perhaps an upgrade to something like a r9 280 or r9 280x will yield better results as they have quite a bit more graphical performance to them than the r9 270x without spending too much.

- Update your card with AMD Catalyst™ 15.4 Beta for Windows - Grand Theft Auto V Optimized Drivers
- "Turn Off VSync" under Graphics Settings in GTA V. Play around a bit with these settings below:

Texture Quality: High
Shader Quality: High or Very High
Shadow Quality: High
Reflection Quality: High
Water Quality: High or Very High
Grass Quality: High or Very High
Post FX: High
Antialiasing: MSAA x2,MSAA x4 or TXAA x4 ± 10 FPS
Reflection MSAA: Off or x2
Anisotropic Filtering: x16
Ambient Occlusion: Off or Normal
Tesselation: High
Distance Scaling: max
Extended Distance Scaling: 0 to max
High Resolution Shadows: Off
Extended Shadow Distance: On

- Set monitor resolution to 1920 x 1080.
- And then try play the game.

Happy Gaming!

The realty is with your current hardware, updated graphics drivers & tweaks you should be able to get rid of the blur & make the game smoother however the current generation consoles will do a better job for this game in my opinion because of the unified memory structure and special optimizations...

To make the game better looking than the consoles you will need to upgrade as I suggested earlier.
I find that if SSAA or MSAA I might get some blur on some system configs/
