Hi, I bough GTA V yesterday and when I start it up it runs well for the first couple of minutes but then this weird green flashing starts to occur. At first it only flashes every few seconds but then it starts to flash a lot until it crashes. The only way to not crash is to go to the menu and stay there a little, but then it starts to happen again. I tries to record it but as soon as I started the flashing reduced a lot and stopped, I still got some of it though.

This is the best I could get: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGpCESfcIVQ&feature=youtu.be

The flash can be seen 3 times in total in this video.

Someone please help me out.

This is my GPU: http://www.palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=2141

I think i still have t he warranty of it. I remember having a very similar problem with FIFA 15 but it was violet not green. What I did was switch on adaptive Vsnyc from the Nvidia control panel and it worked.

Is there a way to be sure what the problem is before I contact them? I mean I have had this card for more than a year and never had any trouble with it and it except the one I mentioned where it took was easy to fix. Also, if it is defective, since it has been for more than a year, what would I be eligible for?

I have played lots of games and even tried some today and none do it. The closest I got to this bug was a very similar one which I had on FIFA but I fixed it buy switching to adaptive Vsync.

This may solve your problem.

Nvidia has released a new driver that is optimized for GTA V. The driver adds support for SLI configurations and should provide a performance boost over older drivers.

- Update your card with Grand Theft Auto V GeForce Game Ready Drivers Version 350.12 - Download Here
- "Turn Off VSync" under Graphics Settings in GTA V.
- And then play the game.

Cheers!

Ok so i ACTUALLY FOUND A FIX. What i did is i went in the GTA video settings and changed VYSNC to "half". You may get a subtle line here and there on your screen but its way better than having that green shit.

I think it may lower your fps also, but it's actually playable.

I'm glad there is a fix for this for anyone who has it badly, mine only flashes up really quickly and disappears, it doesn't really bother me.
Half vsync would run the game at 30FPS max, assuming your monitor is 60hz

I actually managed to kind of fixed this today. Sorry for taking long to answer by the way. I turned on adaptive vysnc from the nvidia control panel and then I also switched on triple buffering. What I did was then turn ON vsnnc from the GTA menu. I have been playing for a long time and it very rarely flashes green and even more rarely flashes boxes of light red. It does not crash. What I would like to know if triple buffering or vsnc in general has some sort of negative affect on the long term condition of my card. I do not want a solution to ruin some hardware Anyways thanks a lot for the answers.
