GTA V Has Stopped Working

Hi everyone, I hate to make a post on this subject but I appear to have a unique issue. When loading up the game I get a black screen and then an error message that reads "GTA V Has Stopped Working". The weird thing is that if I load up the game then open a separate window (such as file explorer), the game will continue to load up as normal. I make it all the way to the brightness calibration screen, and then upon clicking the screen, I receive the same message.

It seems weird that this happens. It appears that the game works fine until I click on it and get crapped on. Hopefully someone can give me some help if they have had a similar issue. I have basically tried everything i've seen on the forums like new user accounts and disabling drivers, both did not work.

... and you have the most current video and audio drivers?

Check for newly installed windows updates - disable anything running in task tray - ie firewall, antivirus - might have to try these one at time -

I have disabled various things to no avail. My drivers are up to date as well.

remove the usb controller or other usb, i had same problem , it worked for me
