Okay so like i read online, game crashes every 5 min to 2 hours of playing.
I see people complaining 2 months ago on the forums, nothing recent but no one talks about a fix. Has Rockstar really not had a fix for 2 months...........

I play the game, it goes black on both of my screens, windows home screen comes on and you can hear the sound playing. That's it though, have to kill it threw task manager.
No error message. Happens ALOT more online and usually faster, BUT it will crash when playing in single player mode also

GTX 970 drivers up to date as of last week
I7 4770k

Did you Overclock your CPU or GPU?

Its all stock, and i have zero issues anywhere else. Also watching the usage with Afterburner there is no evidence of excessive heat or usage. Also the computer does not freeze or shut off - only the game does.....
Also double checked the drivers all up to date....

i7 4770k croshair liquid cooling single fan system
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming GDDR5 Pcie Video Graphics Card, 4GB
G87 gigabyte bored
12gb ram i believe this is gigabyte also
1tb HDD
120gb SSD for windows only
600 watt PS

The G1 has a factory OC this could be the problem however more testing should be done.

I suggest you update your motherboard BIOS.

Do you know the brand of your PSU because if you have a low end psu that could be the issue.

I know the PSU was not a 300 dollar one, but it was also not a 20 dollar one, but ill double check what it was for sure.....

Also with the video card, i know in the past when i've had issues it usually comes up and says the driver crashed or something, shouldn't i get SOME kind of error if it was the video card?
I will also update the BIOS assuming there is even an update.

Drivers crash when a GPU OC is too high... " not the only reason you get a driver crash however a common one" Try lowering your GPU Clock speeds to reference card speeds that might solve the problem...
I would check GPU AND PSU First.

A high end PSU will help you get a stable GPU OC & the G1 has a pretty high OC out of the box...

Ill have to check then, it is possible of course that the PSU is causeing it....I know i did research when i bought it but i still had a budget.....So i will look and see what it is and order one - i saw the list of the 4 tiers on the forums and i found a tier 1 for 750w for 110 or so.....ill order it if i have to.

Okay, I suggest lowering the OC for now

For 110 bucks ill have it tomorrow Cooler Master V750 - Compact 750W
This is not to say this is the issue, but i know that i had a budget.....and well i have a feeling i got a cheaper than i should of power supply........
This may still not fix my issue, but at least ill have adequate power

Before i know it ill have a whole new pc and just need a chase to reassemble the "old" one

The reason i went with a cool master was the price and according to the list i found on toms hardware it shows it as a tier 1.

Usually i would have not gone with it either but when i saw the price compared to others BUT still had a tier one rating on toms hardware id didn't want to pass it up.....and i may go home and find out i bought a good 700 watt one before anyways.....but i wont be home in time to get one for 2morrow threw amazon
