GTA V lagging

I have an i5 7200u with 4gb of ddr3 ram and 2gb 940mx Nvidia. I had an older version of gta v which ran fine. But I had to change the os to windows 10 education after an update malfunction with pro. Other than that my laptop is the same. But now GTA V is barely palyable because of the lags. The game runs at around 60 fps for the first few minutes of gameplay and then back to massive amounts of lag. My friend is playing the same version of gta v on an older version of both the CPU and GPU with 4 gb of RAM. Any help is appreciated

GTA V on my laptop is lagging like crazy. When I first open the game, it runs fine at around 50-60 fps. But after about 3 minutes, it starts to pay like crazy. I used to play an older version of GTA V before on the same pc without no lags. Then I got a newer version and now it lags like crazy. Try buying a copy of GTA V, I bet it works better or atleast you'll be able to get support if it doesn't. Thread closed.
