Solution
Hello,

I assume that you have installed all the updates for GTA 5. I believe the cause for the issue is your RAM. GTA 5 used to have a memory leak and it could be the root cause for this issue. There are few things you should try, This happens as a result of memory usage and disk usage reaching 100%.

1) Check the hard drive for errors and try to fix them.
2) Make sure you don't have a massive amount of torrents, and check for viruses. Programs that keep writing the HDD can cause this issue.
3) Upgrade RAM.

Hope this helped :)

Solution
Use HWmonitor in game or benchmark, check your Temps if they are getting too high the GPU will down clock itself (thermal throttling)
You can use MSI afterburner to raise thermal limit but

If its hot long term you need to check fans and redo the thermal paste

Yea i should upgrade my ram for sure. and yes i actually do have massive amount of torrents, like around 15, but i shut down utorrent before running the game. and how do i check hard drive for errors? thanks a lot for your help :) : )

yes my laptop gets heated a lotttt. so hot that i cant even touch its base. i'll try using the hwmonitor and the benchmark (which i dont know how to use, but i'll google). and should i also consider getting a laptop cooling pad? thanks a lot for helping :) :)

I am sorry your issue is still happening. To check the errors of a drive, Go to PC> (The drive for example C/D)>Hit properties> Tools> Error Checking.

You should try checking the temps. But it shouldn't be the issue. GTA 5 has a memory leak issue. Open up your resource monitor. You should be able to how much ram you got for gaming.

To go to resource monitor - Task Manager>Performance>Resource Monitor.

Post here what happens :)

I checked all my drives for errors. they say that i do not have errors at all (my Lappy is barely a month old :) ) and the resource monitor says that 35% of my memory has been used.

thank you for helping me till here, i'd value your opinion here too :)

Hello again,
I am sorry your issue is still happening. I don't have any knowledge or experience in laptop hardware operations. And I would not try to open a laptop. Is there a way you can send the PC to manufacturer and ask them to upgrade?

yes it is possible to officially give my laptop to HP and get the ram upgraded...but the whole process costs more than twice of the ram i could buy online. So what'd you suggest? btw your pic is funny 😀 😛

I assume that you have no experience in laptop assembly just like me. I would prefer getting it upgraded with good care. There's a good chance a newbie will screw things up. Again I assume you don't know about Laptop Assembly. And in DP it's an agile kitty XD

just type in your model in youtube together with the words ram upgrade and look at a few videos,if your laptop has a trapdor that gives you access to the ram then it's very easy to do by anybody that can distinguish by which side to hold a screwdriver.
If you have to pull apart half your laptop to reach the ram then yes, give it to an official service station.

Also GTA V has a serous problem with it's main thread running without any synchronization...try this.
