Question GTA V not using NVIDIA GPU

Hi guys,

So first of all: I know almost nothing about GPU's, CPU's and everything.

I have a MSI GP62 2QD Leopard laptop.
Processor: Intel Core i7-5700HQ
Memory: 8192MB RAMM
Intel HD Graphics 5600
NVIDIA GeForce 940M

I can run pretty much most games on low to medium settings. I play Euro Truck Simulator on high settings without lag.
Whenever I start GTA V, it lags horribly. 2FPS. That's right, I get 2FPS..

I tried using the NVIDIA Control Panel to make sure that GTA V uses the NVIDIA GPU, but when loading the game - I don't see any activity on the GPU.
It stays at 0%.

I tried loading the game on max settings but that just gave me 1fps.

Can anyone help me out? I don't understand why it lags this much.

Hi guys,

For 2 days I’ve tried all that I could.
Every setting is set so that GTA uses my NVIDIA GeForce 940M... nothing works.

For some reason, whenever the game loads, it uses the Microsoft render basic driver. The game literally has 1/2FPS.. I know this because of the benchmark test.
That’s also where I discovered it uses that Microsoft driver?

I reinstalled both of my drivers several times, googled for hours but nothing seems to work..
(Used with DDU)
These are my specs:
