I have it so I can play GTA V offline, but every once in a while they still get me and cut me off saying I need to activate my game. So I have to log in and it usually does an update. Then I put my old 877.1 exe files back in and turn off the firewall so now I can play offline again. Well this time around, it did something quite strange. I no longer have any skid marks in my game. The weird thing is, when I hit the ESC and it goes to the menu all my skid marks appear in the back of the menu. As soon as I exit back into the game, skid marks disappear again. Seriously, why do I keep having issues that no one else seems to have ever had before and no one seems to know how to fix my issues? There are no google similar issues and no one has seems to discussed this before. I am forced to keep having to figure all these issues out on my own and invent the wheel instead of someone knowing a quick fix. Please let there be a quick fix for once. I really hope someone else has experienced this issue and has a fix, because its really annoying.

What have I tried to do to fix it?

I put my original visualsetting file back in and nothing since I have been using RadianceV. Neither brings back skid marks. I played with each graphics setting in the game going through each one, resetting, you name it to no avail. So what is it this time Rockstar? If you guys have any ideas, please don't hesitate to respond.

Solution
stop using that exe file for starters. If you are using it on steam or origin, or whichever service it is attached to get it to check the files. You don't want to go rooting around and replacing files.

Not at all. I got the retail box/DVD version a few months ago at a great price at Walmart.

What are you thoughts and do you have any ideas? Is it maybe a corrupted file from the update? What file is it and maybe I can try to find another to replace and try.

Wait I have another option? Its the normal Launcher that we have to use to start the game right? How else do I start the game?

Update. I don't see bullet holes on the things I shoot anymore either. What the heck did I do. I have installed some mods, but I can't think of anything that would be causing this. I did replace visualsettings, but kept a backup and put the backup back in and still having issues.

Let me know, is there another exe I can use to start the game? All of them go this rout. How do I disable that? I figured out how to play offline and I use my firewall to block connectivity, but I think they have something to where if you don't log in after 30 days or something it requires activation. How do I get around that?

What exe am I suppose to use? I use the normal GTAV LAUNCH exe. I have also tried just the normal GTAV exe which both take me to the launch menu. How else am I suppose to start the game?

Where do I find that exe? I would love another option, but where is that?

I am not being hostile, I am really appreciative and excited to know, but your response sounds like you are taking offense to my questions. Sorry if I came off like that. Please help me with this exe thing. That would be awesome to finally be fully away from their activations etc. Thanks.

Also I didnt know I was using a replacement exe. I am using the main one that came with the game, so please explain what you mean. Very confused now.

Edit: I think I see what you mean now. When I mentioned old exe that is not a replacement. That is the exe that corresponds with all of my mods. Each time Gtav updates it disconnects from the mods and all mods need to be updated. So instead of updating all my mods on the latest patch, I would rather just revert my exe and game files back to what it was before the forced update. Hope that makes sense.

back to the start, does the game allow you play offline without modification? why do you want to play offline?

If it does not allow it, and modifying it causes problems, seek answers from those that provide the modification, or accept that the modification doesn't work.

Yes I can play with mods offline, BUT I cannot play with mods online. Also GTAV sends out updates so often that they delete your files, car mods, and you lose everything. So a way around that to keep your mods, you play offline.

Read my previous comment, I updated it too.
