is there away to lower the CPU usage on GTA V? i have an i5 4690k @ 4.2GHz game usually at 90-95% cpu usage sometimes 2 cores reach 100% my hole PC freezes for like 1 second..like what the heck? do i need a higher overclock? my temps are already at 60c while playing GTA V while it never reach these temps before. i tried lowering the settings still same usage. i checked task manager nothing seemed to be wrong usually games take my cpu up to 60%-70% tops, but GTA V Takes it to a whole new level. never thought id say this but..is the i5 4690k not enough?

if anyone know how to reduce the cpu usage please inform me, Thanks!

Solution
I am not that surprised as the game can put a lot of stress on the cpu. If is the ram then I don't think you can do much unless they release a new patch. This obviously assumes you don't have many background processes that is not needed.

Something like this could usually happen due to temps, have you tried re applying thermal paste, increasing your voltage or highering your clock?

but my temps are around 55C 60 was top only in gta v never in any other game aren't these good temps?

Yes, those temps are good

those are fine temps...hmm

Hmm, i actually noticed it might not be the cpu doing the freezing but it might be the ram i have 8GB 1600 when game runes i have like 3Gb left after a while it drops to 800mb i think its a memory leak issue but i haven no idea how to deal with this..

if it is a memory leak...you are most likely stuck with it unless you reinstall everything from windows to your games and drivers...As for CPU usage. GTA 5 is known for being hard on both CPU and GPU so it's no suprise to me you are getting such high utilization numbers. GTA 5 will use all 6 of my cores no problem, though with that many cores my utilization is closer to 50-60% utilization per core. Point being less cores means more utilization per core so your numbers are not even a little surprising.
